When I first met Jerry Levias, I thought to myself, this man has seen so much more than most could ever imagine. His quiet and humble demeanor holds a strength few can muster. As I talked to him about his College Football career in the early 1960’s, and the hatred & animosity many projected in his direction at a time when most who played didn’t look like him, I wondered how could someone not become permanently damaged by the ignorance of others. But, he had not. With the help of others & his own inner strength, he found a way. He blazed a trail that many still follow to this day. And he doesn’t want to leave anyone behind.
